Located in the Village of Wilson, we provide UPK-5 services to approximately 490 students. The School is characterized by a friendly family atmosphere with skilled and dedicated teachers, hardworking students, and supportive parents. Student achievement as measured on the New York State Tests is among the highest in Western New York.
Wilson Elementary offers a wide range of Supports for each student including: AIS, reading support, math support, Early Intervention Services, a Transitional First Grade class, occupational therapy, speech therapy, early morning physical education, and completely integrated technology services.
The PTA is very active at school ad supports educational programs for students as well as bringing in speakers on topical issues for parents. Our Fall Festival, Founder's Day Dance, and Pick A Reading Partner (PARP) are just some of the events and programs to PTA Sponsors, Many members, parents and grandparents, volunteer support in the classrooms or work with individual students.
The rich history of the surrounding community provides students with a great advantage. In close proximity to Niagara Falls, Old Fort Niagara, the Erie Canal, and the Underground Railroad, students are afforded opportunities that few other schools can offer. The students add to the community with days of Care and Shares to give back to the community and to provide a "happy holiday" to local community members.
