Birthdays -  If you would like to send in a treat for your child's birthday, please let me know ahead of time.  The cafeteria offers very nice party packages at a reasonable price and takes any allergies into consideration.  

Book Orders - I try to send a book order at every month.  You can order on line or send in in to school.  Please send a check made out to Scholastic (one check for all the flyers).  If you order on line my classroom code is PB8NC  This is a great way to get inexpensive books.  It also gets your child excited about reading when the books come in and he or she gets to take them home.  

Transportation - If there is a change in your child's transportation arrangements, please send in a note in your child's folder.  If something occurs during the day, please call the office let them know.  

First Grade Skills - Your child should know or be working on these skills; shoe tying, address and phone number, his or her birthday, days of the week and months of the year.  Your child should be responsible for his or her own belongings such as backpack, folder homework, lunchbox etc..
