October 26-30
We will be having a Halloween party on Thursday, October 29th. Children will be able to wear his/her costumes to school as long as it is something that they will be comfortable wearing the entire day. Also, as usual, please make sure your child's costume is school appropirate; no weapons, masks or gore. Please remember that the children will still need to wear their protective masks all day, so you might want to keep this in mind if you were intending on any face paint/makeup. I will be providing cookies and apples for the children for our party. I also have a few parents sending in apple cider and caramel dip. If you would like to send in any other treats I am fine with that. I just ask that they be prewrapped so that we are in accordance with the safety guidelines.
We will be doing a leaf study the week of November 2nd. I am asking that each child go on a leaf hunt over Halloween weekend and bring in a small bag of leaves for us to explore. A variety of colors, shapes and sizes would be best. Thank YOU!
A few additonal pieces of information:
*Chrome Books will be sent home everyday. There are still a few children that are not yet able to log into their Chrome Books independently. I ask that you please practice logging in with your child until they feel comfortable doing so independently. It is much easier for them to learn how to log in with an adult by their side than in a class full of children and one adult. This will make your child's school day run much smoother and I thank you for your help with this. Please remember to charge your computer each night and bring it back to school with a full charge the following day. This too will help aid in your child's success in school.
*All children need to bring in $9.75 for their Scholastic News, Science Spin and book boxes. (only $7 for virtual learners, as they will not need a book box). I would appreciate you sending in the money by the end of September.
