Substitute Teacher Applications

- All substitute teaching applications should be sent to the Central Business Office. Substitute teacher interviews will be scheduled periodically throughout the school year. When a date has been determined, you will receive a phone call from one of the building secretaries to schedule an interview.
- All substitute teaching applicants must complete the fingerprinting process and receive clearance through the New York State Education Department (NYSED) prior to being recommended for approval by the Wilson Board of Education. If you have not been previously fingerprinted through the NYSED system, please visit the following site to schedule an appointment (use Employee code) http://www.nysed.gov/educator-integrity/fingerprinting
- Per diem substitute teachers are paid based on certification status. Teacher certification is preferred. The rates of pay for the 2024-25 school year are as follows:
Uncertified Teachers: $110/day
Certified Teachers: $130/day
Substitute Cleaner, Food Service Helper, Nurse, Teacher Aide and Typist Applications
