• Flexible Spending Account

    A Flexible Spending Account is an arrangement through your employer that lets you pay for many out-of-pocket medical, dental and vision expenses (or dependent care expenses) with tax-free dollars. You decide how much to put into a flex account and this is deducted tax free from your pay over 20 payrolls.  You are able to enroll into the FSA during Open Enrollment in May (for dates of service July - June). If you don't use all of your Flex Spending $, you will lose it! Date of service or purchase must be July 1 - June 30. You will have a 90-day grace period to finish submitting receipts and claims. 

    WAYS TO USE YOUR FLEX $:

    1) BENNY DEBIT CARD

    Swipe your Benny Debit Card at the time of purchase/service. 
    Make sure to save your receipts - you may be required to upload them to HEG - especially for vision, dental and durable medical equipment. 

    If you use all of your allotted funds for the year, DO NOT throw away your Benny card. The same card will be used next year with elected funds added to it. There is a $10 fee for additional cards or replacement cards.

    2) MOBILE APP

    Download the "Health Economics Group" Mobile App to submit claims + receipts using the camera on your device, receive account balances and alerts via text message. 

    3) PAY OUT OF POCKET AND FILE A REIMBURSEMENT CLAIM ONLINE VIA WEB BROWSER
